Baseball Clinic

Baseball injuries tend to usually occur in the shoulder and elbow, due to the high forces involved. This is especially true in pitchers, but other positions, as well as batters, may also suffer from these kinds of injury. Medial ligament injuries are the most common injuries in pitchers. This is due to damage to the ligament on the inside of the elbow and is caused by repeated stress, such as improper mechanics or overuse. Some of the most common injuries that occur in baseball player are:

  • Medial elbow ligament strain
  • Rotator cuff injuries
  • Impingement syndrome
  • Shoulder instability
  • Medial epicondylitis (Golfer’s/Thrower’s elbow)
  • Lateral epicondylitis (Tennis elbow)
